Thrive Architects Establishes Office in Waukesha

Thrive Architects recently purchased a building at 259 South St., Waukesha. They will remodel and occupy a portion of the building. They are actively searching to fill the remaining space which is ideal for an office or retail tenant. New Hire - Ashley Pollex

Thrive Architects LLC is pleased to announce Ashley Pollex has joined the Thrive Architects team as an Associate Architect. Within this role, Ashley will take part in all stages of the architectural design process, but will primarily focus on architectural drafting, marketing, and project coordination.

Ashley comes to Thrive Architects LLC with her BSAS in Architecture and has recently started the licensing process to receive her registration through the State of Wisconsin. Prior to pursuing her license in Architecture, Ashley spent the last few years working as a Project Designer, specializing in themed exhibits for Zoological Parks, Museums, Casinos, and Resorts. Those experiences have given Ashley a unique perspective on constructability as it relates to project detailing.

Outside of the office, Ashley’s artistic interests include painting, woodworking, typography, and graphic design.  It’s those interests that further serve to provide support to the Thrive Architects team. Ashley brings a passion for helping small businesses and entrepreneurs find success, following our mission statement, of ensuring that our clients THRIVE. 

Thrive Architect’s design specialties include Religious, Design for the Aging (Senior Care), Recreational, Animal Wellness and Healthcare Sectors.

Storage Master - Cudahy - Final Walk-thru

Today was our final site visit for Storage Master Cudahy. This adaptive re-use took an existing tannery and converted it to climate controlled personal storage. From the start of design to construction completion including all approvals it took 11 months. Entering our 4th year of operation Thrive Architects continues to grow.  We are seeking energetic, self-motivated, vibrant individuals to join our team.  Our Commercial Architectural Practice is already ranked 29th on the Milwaukee Book of Lists by The Milwaukee Business Journal and we hope to continue our growth model into the foreseeable future.  Our main design specialties are Senior Care, Religious, Animal Wellness, Healthcare and Recreational.  However, our design experience is very broad.  We have contracts for a wide variety of project types at this time.  We can guarantee an opportunity for diverse project experience.  We offer the ability to grow, manage and cultivate your career in the direction you desire.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Thrive Architects is seeking all experience levels in architecture.  The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture.  A good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop is preferred.  The successful candidate would ideally be a long-term fit with an opportunity to grow with the firm.  The candidate should be energetic, passionate about architecture, excited to consistently pursue opportunities, fun and easy to work with.   We work in a team setting whereby open conversation, deadlines and tasks are shared with the entire office.  The ideal candidate should consider themselves a "people person" that is flexible and like's working in a team setting.

The following skills and traits are ideal for consideration:

-AutoCAD (moderate level of knowledge)

-Microsoft Office (basic skill level)

-Sketch up (moderate level of knowledge)

-Basic Understanding of Architectural Drawing Production

-Good Communication Skills

-Photoshop (basic knowledge)

-Passion for Architecture

Any of the following skills will give preference to a candidate for consideration:

-Revit

-Oculus Rift and Unity 3D

-Minor in Business

-Minor in Arts

-Experience in any Computer Rendering Programs

-Marketing/Graphic Design Experience

-Previous work in Architecture and/or Construction

-Licensed Architect
