New Brewhouse to Begin Build in Beaver Dam, WI

One of the most effective ways to visualize a design is by overlaying our renderings onto aerial views of the site. This technique was a perfect fit for Shattered Glass Brewery, an exciting new addition to Beaver Dam, WI.

This 4,800-square-foot pre-engineered metal building is strategically positioned at a primary entrance to Beaver Dam (US-151 BUS / Madison Street) and is designed to serve as a prominent destination within the community. The brewhouse will incorporate a composite deck system with stainless steel cable railings and an aluminum-clad canopy, emphasizing durability, low maintenance, and contemporary aesthetics. Situated along the Beaver Dam River, the facility will offer 12 proprietary craft brews, complemented by unobstructed sunset views across the water. It is uniquely the only lakefront commercial development adjacent to the downtown district, enabling seamless pedestrian access to surrounding retail and service establishments.

Inside, the thoughtfully designed 1,672-square-foot bar and dining space will accommodate nearly 100 guests, creating a warm and social atmosphere. The brewhouse will be home to high-quality brewing vessels, where master brewers will craft unique, flavorful beers. Four of which will be available all the time (flagships), the other 8 will rotate continuously. They will also have hand crafted mocktails and curated non-alcoholic options available for those that want something different or would like an alcohol-free option.

We’re proud to play a role in Shattered Glass Brewery and will be watching as WDS Construction will bring it to life. Cheers to what’s brewing!

Inspiration is truly EVERYWHERE!

One of the greatest gifts of living in Wisconsin is being surrounded by the ever-changing beauty of the seasons — from the crisp geometry of frost on windowpanes to the warm, organic patterns of fall foliage. These seasonal shifts don’t just change the landscape — they inform our palette, our textures, and even the forms we gravitate toward. Combine that with the rich architectural history around us — from the clean, horizontal lines of Prairie-style homes inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, to the intricate details of Milwaukee’s Cream City brick buildings — there’s no shortage of creative fuel.

As we begin each project, we immerse ourselves in the environment by crafting a mood board — a curated collection of imagery, materials, colors, and textures that resonate with the story we want to tell. This process grounds us in context, offering a visual narrative that’s both emotive and practical. Whether it’s the silhouette of a gabled roof against a snowy sky, the rhythmic repetition of windows in a historic factory, or rich brown woods framing a log cabin, architectural elements help us shape spaces and designs with purpose, personality, and place in mind. Inspiration isn’t something we wait for — it’s something we build from what’s already around us.

Milwaukee Business Journal Real Estate Awards finalist

As Architects, we have the privilege of designing spaces that inspire, reflect, and leave a lasting impact on communities. This has been especially true in our work on the Waukesha Parade Memorial.

With the Waukesha community in mind, we created a welcoming space where everyone can gather to relax, connect, and heal. Grede Park and the Memorial statues stand as symbols of this vision. We are honored that this meaningful project has earned us a spot as a finalist for the Milwaukee Business Journal Real Estate Awards.

This achievement would not have been possible without an incredible team who helped bring our vision to life, including Core 4 Engineering as the Structural Engineer, JSD Professional Services as the Civil Engineer, and InSite Landscape Design as the Landscape Architect. THANK YOU TEAM!

Bringing Adventure to Life at Jellystone Park™ Caledonia

At Thrive Architects, we are thrilled to be part of the innovative transformation at Jellystone Park™ Caledonia with the creation of Randy’s Thrill Hill at Bear Paw Adventure Park. This exciting project is unlike anything the campground has seen before, and we’re honored to help bring it to life.

Our collaboration with Susan Lasecki of Ionic Structures and Design has been instrumental in shaping the vision for this attraction. Lasecki’s impressive renderings and structural design provided the foundation for our architectural work, ensuring the 1,500 sq. ft. steel-framed structure at the top of the hill not only serves as a thrilling launch point for the mega slide but also integrates seamlessly into the natural landscape. Designed for year-round fun, this hill will double as a sledding destination in winter, making it an all-season adventure hub.

Construction began in summer 2022, with groundbreaking in 2023, and we’re excited to see it completed just in time for the upcoming camping season. Randy’s Thrill Hill, named in memory of the late Randy Isaacson, will stand as a lasting tribute to his legacy and love for outdoor fun.

We can’t wait for campers to experience this incredible addition! Learn more at www.jellystone-caledonia.com.
