Terova Senior Living - Phase 1

Phase 1 of our multi-phased design project has been completed for Terova Senior Living in Mequon, Wisconsin. This phase created an enhanced assisted living memory care wing from a former skilled care unit. Conversions to complex Senior Living spaces is a design specialty for our firm. Combining our knowledge of the complex building codes with our design team's 25 plus years of Senior Living based design we strive to continue to deliver cutting edge market driven competitive environments for our clients. Our interior redesign expanded resident living, removed structural walls to open common areas and completely re-imagined the purpose for this portion of the campus. Further enhancements will soon include a secure professionally landscaped courtyard. We look forward to our continued partnership with Terova Senior Living on the next phases.

Madison BRT Design Competition

Thrive Architects recently entered a design competition for the new bus rapid transit stations throughout Madison, Wisconsin. These stations will serve a new rapid transit east/west line through downtown Madison and reduce transit times for the Madison Metro System.

Unfortunately we didn't make the list of finalists; however we were proud of our teams effort and wanted to share our proposed concept. Regardless of the results it was a great team building exercise for our office. Congratulations to all of the designs that made the list of finalists for consideration. South Milwaukee Office Building

We were in South Milwaukee this week and had time to grab a few construction photos of the progress happening at DB Tax & Wealth for Legup Investments

When One Source Construction Corporation asked us to be a part of this revitalization project in South Milwaukee we couldn't have been more excited! With their expertise and the owners vision to create a high end industrial office space with an upscale outdoor deck that engaged the street we knew this project would be a catalyst type development!
The outdoor office deck is just one of the many features this property will have to offer. We can't wait to show off future updates of the design idea as this project comes together! We hope you follow us for future posts!

Winter - Evin at Oconomowoc

We recently stopped by Evin at Oconomowoc to take a few winter photos of the exterior. We are elated with the exterior design material selections and the snow makes for a wonderful setting!

Did you know? The recently opened Evin at Oconomowoc offers 12 different apartment unit styles. Most often Developers, Architects or Builders will limit unit variation as it's easy and less expensive. However with Evin at Oconomowoc being an upscale development, Thrive Architects was encouraged to make nearly all of the apartments a unique experience and let our creativity shine. Potential tenants can choose from a wide range of units and views. Nearly each apartment is different from it's neighbor creating this one-of-a-kind environment for it's occupants.

Waukesha's 125th Anniversary

Update to Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church

We have been working for a few years with an amazing group of individuals at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church whom have stuck together and remained committed to a long-term building campaign and so with our first site visit today it's gratifying to see the building progress. A portion of Covenants mission is to be a place of new beginnings with it’s roots in the past. We hope this is illustrated in our design as it resembles our intent. Working with an established building to provide increased accessibility, better restrooms, a drive-up canopy, a kitchen that supports the Church and its communal mission, a new toddler room, supportive office spaces and a defined narthex area are just some of the renovations which will rejuvenate the building.
