Thrive Architects Welcomes Natalie Giombi as its Newest Addition

Thrive Architects LLC is pleased to announce Natalie Giombi as their intern this summer. Over the following months, Natalie will take on various roles, including web design, graphic design, hand drafting, computer drafting and more.

Natalie has just finished her second year of schooling for a Bachelor’s in Architecture, and currently attends California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. She has spent the past two years learning advanced principles in art & design and has also had experience designing several conceptual buildings.

A native to SE Wisconsin, Natalie graduated high school with an emphasis in visual art, and in her free time co-runs a small candle-making business. Natalie aspires to blend her unique experience with art and her passion for architecture to design beautiful, modern buildings with excellent attention paid to detail. This set of skills will compliment Thrive’s design method nicely for the next few months as she completes her internship.

Crosspoint Church Renovation Complete

Thrive Architects was blessed to recently serve Crosspoint Church in Renovation and Conversion of the former Goodwill Retail Store in West Allis, Wisconsin. The project was an amazing display of stewardship by a committed group of church members whom invested an incredible amount of sweat equity to build out the 18,224 SF building.

Honest Teeth - Construction Completion

We are pleased to announce our latest dental office renovation just wrapped up in Elm Grove Wisconsin. Honest Teeth just moved into their 3,200 square foot state of the art general family dentistry space a few weeks ago. Thrive Architects also had the pleasure of renovating the entire office building in which Honest Teeth is a tenant. A Design to Reinvent the Way We Live - A Skilled Nursing Home

It has been a while since our last post...But we have been very busy working on the latest designs!

One of these notable projects on our boards is a design which we feel will change the way you look at the future of nursing homes! A project that will have an immediate impact on residents, staff and their families!

St Mary's Care Center in Madison, Wisconsin:
On the Boards: Imagine taking a drab central therapy space in an existing nursing home and transforming it into a coffee shop, gift store and day spa! Picture the ideal space for residents to grab a delicious bakery item, or get their nails done or spend time in the sun with family grilling on the patio. We are proposing a place inside a nursing home that makes you feel comfortable, lets you forget where you are, welcomes healing social connections and truly removes the stigma. Our design is challenging the nursing home status quo! It's the type of project that makes you ask, " Why haven't we been designing nursing homes like this all along?"

Construction Complete - Elmbrook Church Renovation

Brookfield, Wisconsin

Thrive Architects worked with Elmbrook Church to solve interior space planning challenges and improve wayfinding elements throughout the building. We focused on creative ways to design engaging areas for fellowship which complemented the existing building interiors. Some of the solutions included designing information areas that were highly visible to each of the lobby (narthex) entrances, establishing coffee common spaces to improve fellowship and incorporating a welcome center which could serve as a main gathering space for after service ministries.
